Getting intimate with the Gélinas sisters.

Our very first book collaboration! An incredible opportunity to showcase our photography and branding work in the creation of a physical object distributed across the province of Québec, with supplementary press shots and video as marketing materials to support the launch.

When publishing house Édito approached the Gélinas sisters to write a book together, they were hesitant at first; they’d never collaborated on anything like this before despite being so close. Mitsou is a well-known Québec personality and entrepreneur, while her youngest sister Abeille is a DJ reaching crowds from chic galas to ecstatic dance festivals. Their middle sister Noémie, who followed in the footsteps of their

mother as an expert in Shiatsu massage, is the only one to have written a book, but she is generally more low-key. This book project made it possible for them to unite forces on a topic that brings harmony to trio: wellness (in body, heart and spirit) as an offering to the expanded sisterhood and a reflection of the feminine experience. Our mission with this project was to get to know each sister, both individually and within the

trio, to create a visual identity with lifestyle photography that represents the flavours and aesthetics of each author. Our signature 360° Brand Journey facilitated the process, seeing the project through from conception to creation and completion. It was an intimate partnership, where we developed the visual language as the words came to life on the page.

Together with the publishing house, we set out to create a relevant yet timeless piece that would be inspiring enough to showcase on a coffee table, all while comfortably fitting in a reader’s purse as they make their way through the eighteen chapters, alternately authored by the trio.

We crafted a thoughtful brand guide. We produced and art directed four photoshoots both in studio and on location. We co-created design elements to elevate the storytelling. All with a dream team of local artists.
