To celebrate their renewed partnership, Air Canada and Cirque du Soleil gave the passengers of flight AC1707 to Las Vegas a wonderful surprise: a circus performance and free tickets to a show!

When producer Raphael Jolicoeur reached out to us to collaborate on this commercial, we were incredibly grateful — and wasted no time launching into pre-production mode. Although the logistics of filming in an operating airport were no small feat, especially with a surprise performance at a gate full of passengers, we were committed to making it cinematic.

A crew made up of masterful, resourceful and collaborative artists? Check.
Arri Alexa Mini with vintage Zeiss prime lenses and an Angenieux zoom lens? Check.
Walkie talkies for the whole crew? Check.
A chase sequence with acrobats flipping through the hallway? Check.

Oh, and did we mention the next day turnaround for editing? Yeah, there was that too.

But we were up for the challenge, especially because this was a wonderful opportunity to bring our very human approach & feel-good HAVEN vibe to a corporate project.

This was a first for us in many ways, opening up a world of possibilities we are excited to discover!
